This is an open box Drotto Catch & Release Automatic Boat latch. 

Open box Drotto latches have been used, tried, or returned by other customers. They may include cosmetic flaws such as scratches and dings in the top plastic cover, and/or scuffs on the finish of the latch body, handle, and jaws.

Cosmetic flaws vary but all latches are thoroughly tested and inspected, are in excellent working condition, free of manufacturing defects, and include the same two year warranty as new latches.

Because they have some flaws we're selling them at $55 off new! Great way to save a few bucks while getting an inspected, functioning Drotto latch!
