Return & Exchange Policies
All unused items may be returned within 90 days of purchase from drottoproducts.com.
All returns are subject to a $15 fee to cover return shipping cost and restocking. This fee will be deducted from your return, which will be issued back to your card after returned items are received and inspected. Any damaged or used items will be subject to additional return fees.
We do not refund shipping fees on the original order.
The $15 restocking fee and shipping costs from the original order are subject to sales tax. All other sales tax collected on items returned from the original purchased will be refunded.
We only accept returns for orders placed through drottoproducts.com, and do not accept returns for purchases placed with other retailer or dealers.
Catch-N-Release Latch Returns
If you purchased a Drotto Catch-N-Release latch from drottoproducts.com and find that the latch just won't work with your boat or trailer configuration, used but undamaged latches can be returned.
Latches with light scratches or scuffs on the top cover and sides of the latch body where the latch mounts to the trailer will not be considered damaged, and can still be returned.
All latch returns are subject to the fees and time rules in the Return Policy above.
Start a Return
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and include:
- Your full name
- Your order number
- Reason for returning
- Description of the reason it won't work with your boat/trailer
We want to help you configure the Catch-N-Release latch to work with your boat and trailer! Most issues are related to incorrect alignment or incorrect use of the latch, so our support team is here to help you. If you'd like help, please also include this information when you email email@example.com:
- Photos of the side of your boat showing the entire front bow and how the boat aligns with the latch and trailer.
- Photo of the winch stand on your trailer showing any available adjustment options built into the winch stand (forward/back up/down).
- Photo showing the how the locking jaws on the latch are aligning with the bow eye on your boat.
If you purchased the wrong latch you can request to return the incorrect model and place an entirely new order for the correct latch.
We will treat the incorrect latch as a standard Return (see return policy above) and issue a refund minus the restocking fee.
The correct model latch will be shipped to you quickly as part of a new order.
If you purchased a latch from another retailer and find that it's the wrong size for your boat, we can process an exchange for a $45.99 Exchange Fee. This fee includes a prepaid return shipping label to send the incorrect latch model to us. Once received, we'll ship the correct latch model to you. Exchanges for items purchased from other retailers will only be processed if the latches are completely undamaged/unused.
Missing Items from Return
If any pieces are missing from your return, the current retail price of those pieces will be deducted from your total refund amount.
Refunds will be issued within 5 business days after the return items are received and inspected. Please allow 7-10 days after for the refund to be fully processed by your bank.
Refunds will only be issued back to the card used to pay for the original purchase.
You will receive an email notification when the refund is processed.
Per our return policy, we do not refund shipping fees on the original order. And orders are subject to a $15 restocking fee that will be deducted from the refund total.
