3/8" Safety Latch S-Hook

If you've installed your Drotto latch and don't have enough room in your bow eye to still fit your winch hook, this will help!

Some manufacturers make the factory winch hooks awful big for the size of the bow eye, so it can certainly be a competition for space when the Drotto is latched into the bow eye as well.

Most U-bolt bow eyes are adjustable and can be lengthened. There are two nuts on the outside of the bow eye and two on the inside of the hull. If you loosen you should be able to adjust to make the bow eye longer. Or you can put a longer u-bolt in.

However, if you have a welded aluminum bow eye, it can't be adjusted. So we suggest routing this locking s-hook through the hole on the existing winch hook (see the 2nd photo in the gallery) and use that to connect the winch to the bow eye. That s-hook will be quite a bit smaller than your existing winch hook, so you may also be able to fit the safety chain hook in there.
